Yes....that is my question. Does anyone lube the zippers...on their tents! I was perusing the world wide web last night and came across several products that are specifically designed to "lubricate" zippers like this one (there are several different brands out there):
I have always taken a bit of care with my tent zippers...mainly by wiping down and cleaning the door zippers lightly with some soapy water and a sponge, especially if we've been camping in a dusty/dirty area.
But I am wondering if these product would help extend the life of the zipper. Has anyone ever tried one of these lube products? Do they work? Does this stuff do more harm than good by "attracting" dirt/dust and holding on to it? Thoughts?
