  • backpacking grill

i got tired of eating freeze dried dehydrated super salty gelatinous slop while backpacking so I made one of these grills. i can't take credit for the design as I saw it a few years ago. (can't really remember where)

But while my buddies are eating slop I'm going to be grilling a trout!

      I like it,
      cant tell the size,
      is that a coffee can?
only minor detail i would change is maybe a cut out somewhere to make it easier to feed the fire
      and some holes for air,
this is my version of a camp stove

Never seen anything like it! I like fish cooked over coals.

I also was not able to tell the size, at first glance it looked like a soup can. By the way, was that more of a one time use thing or do you hold onto that and reuse it?

Nice. It appears to be a soup-sized can. The feet are screws bolted to the body (look at the full size image to see the workmanship).
