Great Falls NP (Virginia) / right outside Washington D.C.
This is where the Potomac River builds up speed and force as it falls over a series of steep, jagged rocks and flows through the narrow Mather Gorge.

Thanks Shona, welcome to the boards! Just remember, every campout is just practice for the next one! Over time and a few seasons you will become a seasoned single Mom campateer and will horn your skills down to almost a science. You will know whats works for you! Lassen Peak(10,462 ft [3,189 m]), Lassen Volcanic National Park, California. Mount Lassen is the southern most active volcano in the Cascade Range. This pic was taken on the southeast coast of Lake Alamor.
