  • Glucose (sugar) powered portable electricity?

Hi all, I'm new to these threads but have a new product possibility and am in need of some candid feedback. I am a university student and we have recently discovered a process by which we can turn glucose (think sugar, corn syrup, photosynthsis, etc.) into electricity. Do you see an application or interest in camping products? Portable electricity that is quiet, cheaper than alternative fuels, and environmentally friendly? Would you buy/use it, or is it not applicable?

I'm open to suggestions, product ideas, or simply candid feedback. Thanks all!

I think you have a great idea. Can you produce it and be competitive with solar power and hydrogen fuel cells?

With the cost of sugar going up astronomically in the near future along with other foods, I do not see this as a realistic idea. Rather akin to the canard of using corn to produce ethanol fuel - simply not economically viable.
